Another long day for us. Another flight display. The A380 is behaving really well and everyone likes it.

Flying in the A380 over Singapore and the air show, no one has time to watch the scenery. It’s a flight we have rehearsed many times but you need to be concentrated all the time. The pilots fly the aircraft and we monitor the flight. Sightseeing will have to wait.

We have shown the A380 to a lot of pilots. All the pilots who have seen it admire it. They tell us how much they are impressed by its manoeuvrability, the low speed fly over, how silent and majestic it is when it flies. Once they step into the cockpit, they feel instantly at home, particularly those who have flown other Airbus types.

Tonight we are meeting some of the Singapore pilots who have visited the aircraft at the show and with whom we are developing very good relations. It’s really important to build friendly relations with them outside of work.
