The A380 which came in from the cold
21 February 2006
The A380 test aircraft, which landed early on Saturday morning in Singapore to fly daily in the Asian Aerospace air show, has just returned from Iqaluit, Canada, where it successfully performed a cold weather test campaign.
The test aircraft, the second A380 to fly, spent five days in conditions of up to minus 30 degrees Celsius, remaining a full 12-hour period at these low temperatures. From the north of Canada to the heat and humidity of Singapore, the aircraft and its crew are demonstrating their adaptability to extreme conditions.
